In addition to his academic studies, he served a two year internship at the renowned OCOM clinic in Portland, Oregon.  While in medical school, he developed a rich practice of Soaring Crane, Chinese Essence and Super Energy Qi Gong under the direct supervision of Chen Hui Xian, Qi Gong Master.  Randy gained the honor and prestige of becoming the first paraplegic individual to be granted certification and bestowed the title of Qi Gong Teacher.
